a weekly review of Sunday worship to provide resource and
further reflection from our Sunday service.
Sermon
This week's service was focused on God being our provider and how we can be content in this life. With humility we are able to them simplify things in our life and focus then on what God desires for us. Because of this we prayed together the Lord's Prayer and highlighted the line "Give us this day our daily bread." We ask that God would have for us what we need for today-- not tomorrow, not next week, but today. This goes along with our music-- The Desert Song proclaims that "All our life, in every season, you are still God and I have a reason to sing and worship". We can be content in all seasons. God is faithful and we sing how great his faithfulness is-- in all seasons. We confess that we chase after other things but when we taste of his goodness we shall not want other things. We close the service by speaking of our dependence on Christ and how great and sweet it is to trust Him.
